Registered Veterinary Technician
Sara is a registered veterinary technician and is originally from Iowa. She obtained her veterinary technician degree from Kirwood Community College in 2009. She has 3 four-legged children, Roxy and Tank (cats), and Addi (pug). Her husband is an Air Force Pilot and she has 2 boys that keep her busy at home. She enjoys making everyone laugh and likes to have dance parties to start off the day. Sara is our head technician and lead surgical technician; she is the one who ensures all surgical patients receive individual attention and comforts them during and after surgical procedures. She enjoys developing a relationship with owners and their pets to promote strong companion relationships.
Certified Veterinary Technician
Tina has been a certified veterinary technician since 2014. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University in 2008 and then returned to school in 2012 to earn her Veterinary Technology degree from St. Petersburg College in Tampa. She worked at Companion Animal Hospital from 2014 to 2016 before moving to Washington State to be closer to family. She recently moved back to the Fort Walton Beach area in July 2017 and promptly started working at Companion again. She loves traveling and living in new places, a trait acquired because her father was in the air force and she has had the opportunity to live all over the world. However, her heart belongs in the Fort Walton Beach/Niceville area and she plans to plant some roots and stay here long term. She has a special interest in anesthesia and surgery but loves all aspects of being a veterinary technician and is very grateful to Drs. Epperson and Hartley for giving her the opportunity to achieve her career goals and strengthen her skills at Companion Animal Hospital. Tina recently married her husband Josh in 2015. A native to the area he shares in her love of animals and they have a very spoiled “only child”, Merlin, their white cat.
Certified Veterinary Technician
Tori is originally from Long Beach, California and currently lives in Pensacola. She is a certified veterinary technician and completed her studies at Pensacola Junior College and at Pensacola State College graduating in 2014. She has over 15 years experience working and caring for animals. Tori has 3 fur babies, a pekingese named Meesha and 2 cats Dawg & Little Black. On her free time she likes to spend time with her husband DJ and young son Avery.
Certified Veterinary Technician
Kristen is originally form Pennsylvania born and raised. She moved to Florida 6 years ago and is addicted to the beach and sunshine. She is a certified Veterinary Technician and completed her studies at the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh. Go Steelers! Kristen has worked at Youngs Animal Hospital in Titusville, Florida for 6 years and Orlando Equine Veterinary Care for 2 years. She has a ball python named Rebound, a horse named Thunder, 2 dogs named Hank and Ranger, and a cat named Kiarra! She is very excited to be a part of our Companion team and we are thrilled to have her!
Linda is primarily our dental technician. She attends advanced veterinary dentistry education classes every chance she gets. Although her primary role is providing excellent dental care for our patients, she helps in all aspects of our hospital from general patient care to the dirty work or cleaning up. Her love and compassion makes her a great team member. She is very passionate about transporting shelter dogs to rescues allowing them to escape the shelter world in hopes to find a forever home. Linda and her husband's love for animals started at an early age with family pets and the occasional backyard rescue of squirrels and baby birds. She is a native of the Fort Walton Beach area and received her AA degree from Northwest Florida State College. Linda is actively involved with several Basset rescue organizations and opens their home to many rescue dogs.
Sam grew up as an army brat, living in various parts of the world. Her latest move landed her in Florida where she obtained a bachelor's degree in biology at the University of West Florida. Her love for animals led her to pursue an occupation in the veterinary world and then transitioned into a love for radiology. She is pursuing her love for radiology by obtaining her radiology technician degree. She has been a veterinary technician for 4 years now but has been working with animals for much longer than that. She has one dog and two cats that she rescued. Sam enjoys watching movies with her husband or hanging out with friends in her spare time. She is quiet when you first meet her, but with time she comes alive.

Jade is From Scurry, Texas and moved to Florida in 2016. She earned certification as a Registered Dental Assistant while also graduating high school in 2012. Jade worked as a veterinary technician for 2 years in Texas; the first year and a half spent in a full service veterinary clinic regularly performing dentals and the remaining time at a spay/neuter clinic as a surgical technician. Jade would describe herself as the "Crazy Pug Lady" and has a beloved pug of her own named Wynter. She currently has 2 ball pythons as well, but has been a mommy to all sorts of pets including birds, fish, cats, squirrels, hedgehogs, ferrets, and even rats! When she not occupied tending to creatures Jade enjoys photography and soaking up the sun at our beautiful beaches.
Victoria is from Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Florida in 2013. She is currently attending Northwest Florida State College and working towards a degree in zoology. She is currently a veterinary technician on our Companion team but aspires to work with wildlife, more particularly the animals of her heart WOLVES! At home Victoria has a miniature poodle named Daisy. With family in Freeport Victoria has volunteered much of her time to the animal refugee. She also loves taking exciting adventures with her friends.
Harley is from Fort Walton Beach but has lived in Virginia and England. She has been a veterinary technician in the area for over 5 years. She is currently enrolled at Northwest Florida State College and is studying for a Bachelor of Science Degree. She volunteers at several local rescues and also helps foster dogs in need of forever homes. Harley has two dogs of her own, a disabled poodle named Eddie and dachshund mix named Yoshi. During her free time, when she is not doing homework, she enjoys going to the beach and enjoys all kinds of water sports including tubing and canoeing.
Krislynne is a California girl in a Florida world. She attended veterinary technician schooling until taking up the opportunity to travel abroad to Germany. While in Europe Krislynne worked for the largest Army Veterinary Medical Clinic treating injured military working dogs. Life’s travels have now brought her to the Florida Panhandle and Companion Animal Hospital where she is a veterinary technician. Outside of Companion she has 3 pooches a Labrador/Pitbull mix Luna, an Italian Greyhound mix Emma, and a Chihuahua Tinkerbelle. Krislynne has a love for Mexican cuisine and enjoys new culinary experiences.
Megan is from Arlington, Virginia but has lived and traveled different places with her husband in the military. Megan, her husband, her daughter Abigail, dog Lily, and cat Maddie now call Navarre home. Megan has been involved with veterinary medicine since 2005, spending 5 years in England working at an Army Veterinary Clinic. She has recently completed her studies in veterinary technician school and is completing her certification this Fall.
Amber moved to Florida from California in November 2015. Her and her husband Jorge share alove of fitness and weight training. When away from Companion she has a pit-bull mix of her own Xena to give all the affection. Amber is currently taking online courses to earn her AA and plans to one day take profession in radiology.
